Overview
Our Dissertation Programme is meticulously designed to provide students and researchers with a well-rounded understanding of both laboratory techniques and bioinformatics workflows required to tackle advanced biological questions. The programme is rooted in the application of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, which have transformed genomics and transcriptomics research by enabling the analysis of complex datasets with unprecedented accuracy and depth.
Through this curriculum, participants will gain hands-on experience in both wet lab and in silico (computational) approaches, making them proficient in every step of the experimental and analytical pipeline. This interdisciplinary focus ensures that learners can seamlessly bridge the gap between experimental biology and computational genomics—a critical skill in modern life sciences research.
The vision of this training is to bridge the gap between academic education and industry demands in the biotechnology and bioinformatics sectors. Through a certificate programme focused on hands-on industrial skill development, participants gain valuable experience that complements their formal education and prepares them for real-world challenges.
